Silver and Vermeil
All our silver jewelry is made from 100% recycled sterling silver. Our vermeil pieces add a thick layer of 18k gold over that same recycled silver, several times thicker than standard plating and built to last. Cool and bright, or warm and elegant. Both made for everyday wear.

SILVER
925 Sterling Silver
925 means there is 92.5% pure silver in the piece, alloyed with 7.5% copper for strength. Sterling Silver gives our jewelry the durability it needs without losing the cool, mirror-like finish that makes silver one of the most timeless materials in fine jewelry.
All our silver pieces are stamped with the purity mark "925" and the hallmark "AKIND". We are registered with Swedac, the Swedish authority regulating businesses that sell precious metals.

100% Recycled
Recycled silver is made by melting down existing jewelry, industrial silver, and electronic components. We work with silver that is 100% recycled in order to reduce our environmental impact.
By not sourcing our silver from mines, we take a stand against harmful waste, water pollution, and the human rights violations that come with traditional mining.
How we source our silver
Step 1
A certified refinery buys reclaimed silver from existing jewelry, industry, and electronics, verified for ethical, traceable sourcing.
Step 2
The reclaimed silver is extracted and refined until it reaches its purest form: 999 fine silver, the highest purity grade available.
Step 3
The pure silver is melted at 960°C and poured into bars marked by purity, ready for shipment to our partner workshop.
Step 4
Our atelier in Thailand alloys the silver with 7.5% copper to reach 925 sterling silver, then crafts each piece by hand.
VERMEIL
18k gold on recycled sterling silver
Vermeil is sterling silver layered with a thick coating of real gold. Our vermeil pieces are crafted with a minimum of 2.5 microns of 18k gold over recycled 925 sterling silver, five times thicker than regular gold plating, and made to last. All made from 100% recycled materials. All precious metals.

A substantial layer of real gold
Vermeil is regulated: to be called vermeil at all, the gold needs to be at least 10 karat, the layer must be at least 2.5 microns thick and the base must be sterling silver. The result: the warm tone of solid gold, the substance of sterling silver, and a finish that wears beautifully over years of daily use.

Caring for silver and vermeil
Silver is naturally bright but oxidizes over time, especially when exposed to moisture, perfume, or skin oils. Vermeil's gold layer is durable but benefits from gentle handling to preserve its finish. The good news: a little care brings both right back, and stored properly your pieces will look as bright as the day you got them, for years.
1. Store dry, store separate
Keep pieces in a sealed pouch or box, away from humidity and other metals.
2. Remove before water
Take pieces off before showers, swimming, or washing dishes.
3. Apply products first
Put on perfume, lotion, and sunscreen before your jewelry.
4. Polish with the right cloth
Silver: a polishing cloth restores shine in seconds. Vermeil: dry microfiber only, never abrasive polish.
