Akind guarantees a lifetime warranty of your Akind jewelry to be free of manufacturing defects. Manufacturing defects can include clasp breakage, loose diamonds or loose prongs.
Manufacturing defects do not include general wear and tear, scratching, stretched chains/rings, lost jewelry, or jewelry damaged due to improper cleaning or storage.
Because we stand behind our designs and our manufacturers, any third-party or outside jeweler altering your jewelry will void your warranty with us! Have a question about your piece or how to care for it? Please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are proud to offer a lifetime warranty for all of our sustainably created diamonds. We guarantee our listed gradings of our created diamonds to be accurate and warrant their graded characteristics. In the unlikely case that your diamond turns out to not meet or exceed a characteristic promised, we will, at your option:
- Accept the return of the diamond and provide you with a refund of the full purchase price; or
- Replace the diamond with a diamond that meets or exceeds each of the characteristics warranted.
The condition of the diamond will be determined by examination by standard gemological techniques. The accuracy of angles and linear measurements will be determined by the following tolerances: ±0.2º and ±0.02 millimeters.
- For 1/4 ct: 0.25ct average diamond weight (0.23 -0.27ct diamond weight)
- For 1/2 ct: 0.50ct average diamond weight (0.47-0.53ct diamond weight)
If you decide to grade your diamond on your own, please note that diamonds must be graded as loose stones and cannot be set in engagement rings and then graded, as settings can be obtrusive. A well-trusted facility such as GCAL, IGI or GIA must grade the stone, and not a local jeweler in order for it to have relevancy.
Should you make a claim under this warranty, you allow us to inspect the diamond and any gemological evaluation on which you base your claim, and try and resolve your claim amicably.
To be able to claim this warranty, the diamonds must not be exposed to unreasonable force or harmful conditions. This warranty does not apply to product that has been stored or handled incorrectly, abused, altered, treated with the wrong cleaning methods. The warranty does not cover normal wear & tear, cuts or scratches; consequential or incidental damages. The warranties are to the benefit of the original purchaser of the product. They are not transferable.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. The warranty does not, in any way, affect the rights given to you by law.
Taxes & Duties
Within the EU, Norway, Switzerland and UK, orders are shipped on Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) basis, meaning that all taxes and duties are included in the final price.
Outside the EU (except Norway, Switzerland and UK), orders are shipped on a Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis, meaning that all taxes and duties are excluded in the final price. Your order may therefore be subject to local taxes and import duties by your local customs authority or the used shipping carrier. We are unable to calculate the exact amount in duties and taxes your order might incur, as these charges are imposed directly by the destination country and vary between countries. AKIND does not cover any such taxes, duties or related charges. Taxes and duties incurred on refused or unclaimed packages are not covered by AKIND.
Each order already comes with a personalized card so it’s ready for gifting! By providing the name of the person you wish to gift to at Checkout, we will add that person’s name on the card. If no gift note or special request is included, the name in the shipping address will be added to the name card.
Our packaging includes a square, sleek box in one of our 4 brand colors, tissue and a pouch so that you can carry your Akind jewelry wherever you go.
Yes we do! Select Gift Cards under the Shop section and select your preferred value. Gift cards are delivered by email to the buyer and contain instructions to redeem them at checkout. Our gift cards have no additional processing fees. Gift cards are non-refundable.
Akind Gift Cards are only valid if purchased on akindstore.com. Akind cannot honor or re-issue gift card credit that is purchased from third party sources.
Simply enter the code shown on the back of the card into the “gift/credit” field at checkout. The value of your gift card will be automatically deducted from your order. Should a balance be owed, you can use any of our payment methods.
We sell ring-sizers for you to use at home, however; the most accurate way to determine your ring size is by visiting a local jeweler. If the ring is a surprise, we recommend taking a favorite ring to a local jeweler to determine that size.
We’ve written a guide about ring-sizing, which you can check out here!
Care & Repair
Our jewelry is designed to last forever. That's why we feel confident in offering you a lifetime warranty of every piece you buy from us. However, even something as strong as gold and diamonds need a bit of your attention and care. We therefore recommend that you:
- always keep your jewelry stored separately in fabric-lined pouches or boxes to avoid spinning and scratches.
- avoid contact with perfumes, chlorine, lotions, hairspray, cosmetics, detergents and other chemicals as this may affect the color or luster.
- be careful when wearing your chains, try not to get stuck with them or pull them.
- remove your jewelry when bathing, exercising, doing housework etc. to avoid bending, scratching or losing it.
- avoid storing diamonds together, as they can scratch each other.
- pearls do best in a moist environment, so wearing them frequently keeps them from drying out.
Solid 14k gold
To maintain the beautifully shiny texture, scrub lightly with a toothbrush and warm water, then dry it with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
Keep your diamonds sparkling by soaking them it in a warm soapy liquid, brush gently with a toothbrush and then rinse the stone and setting to ensure there is no residue. Dry it with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
After wearing, wipe your pearls with a soft cloth. This will help prevent any buildup of oils or other substances that may have come in contact with your jewelry throughout the day. *Please note that cotton is moisture absorbing and could dry out and damage your pearls.
White gold is not found in nature, it’s an alloy (mixture) of gold and white metals. Our white gold alloy contains silver, zinc and copper. White gold pieces are also dipped in rhodium, giving them a brilliant, chrome-like color, while also protecting them from scratching. However, to maintain this white luster, white gold should be “re-dipped” every so often.
Keep in mind that you are given a lifetime warranty for your Akind jewelry. This means that if your jewelry breaks (and this is evidentially not caused by your carelessness – read more under “Warranty”), we will have it fixed. Just send us an email to email@example.com and we will take care of it straightaway. Read more about our lifetime warranty.

To reach 14k gold, our gold is alloyed with copper and silver, making the breakdown the following - 58.5% pure gold, 6,2% silver, 28% copper, 4,8% zinc, 2,5 % iridium.
White gold is an alloy (mixture) of gold and white metals. Our white gold jewelry has the same pure gold content as our yellow gold. The difference is the metals it’s mixed with. Akind’s white gold alloy contains silver, zinc and copper. Some products also contain palladium. The white gold jewelry pieces are also dipped in rhodium, giving them a brilliant, chrome-like color, while also protecting them from scratching.
All our jewelry is made of 100% recycled 14K solid gold, never plated or filled. This means we recycle gold from already existing jewelry. The good thing is that gold can be recycled over and over.
Yes! Just like mined diamonds, lab-grown diamonds are made up of one single element – carbon. It exhibits the same exceptional beauty and brilliance as a mined diamond because it is identical in composition. Our diamonds are traceable, transparently priced but without the human and environmental toll of mining.

Akind cannot accept rings for resize if purchased outside of Europe at this time. Please work with a local, trusted jeweler to resize your ring. Resizing your ring with a different jeweler in no way voids your warranty with Akind.
Akind guarantees our Special Occasion rings to be free of manufacturing defects. If you believe your ring has a defect, you are able to send it back to us anytime for inspection where we will repair or replace your ring as deemed appropriate. Manufacturing defects can include missing pave stones (stones under .07ct), and loose prongs. As each ring is made-to-order and crafted by hand, slight variations in each ring are to be expected, and are not viewed as a defect. If the damage is deemed outside of a manufacturing defect, we’ll always let you know the price of any repair before beginning any work on the ring.
This warranty does not apply to the replacement of a center stone, or any stone larger than 0.06ct. Manufacturing defects do not include general wear and tear, scratching, discoloration due to contact with harsh chemicals, warped rings or lost rings/center stones.
Because we stand behind all our designs and our manufacturers, any third-party or outside jeweler altering your jewelry will void your warranty with us!

Any abused, altered or incorrectly cleaned ring is not eligible for return. Ring needs to be in the possession of the original purchaser, as this warranty is not transferable.
